Within a short driving distance of Javea are the towns of Denia, Moraira, Benidorm, Olivia, Gandia, Altea, Calpe, all of which are all worth visiting.

Accessible beaches

Arenal beach, Javea

The Arenal

The Arenal is a fantastic safe beach that is away from the road. Featuring beautiful soft sand, the beach is ideal for families allowing children to run around.

Featuring volleyball courts, a children’s play area, the beach is popular both day and night. Lifeguards and the Red Cross are on site.

For wheelchair users, there are toilets and changing facilities. There is the facility to assist wheelchair users to the water via a special chair.

For the more able-bodied there is an abundance of choice for water sports.

La Granadella

The lovely pebble beach of Granadella is 220 metres in length, is nestled in a creek and surrounded by pine trees. The beach is only accessible by car. The road to the beach is a fantastic drive.

You’ll find yourself winding through pine forests to get to the cove. There are good facilities for the disabled including toilets and showers.

There is parking 9albeit, it gets very busy in the summer months), the Red Cross, Lifeguards, restaurants and beach bars. Tip: Get to Granadella early to avoid traffic which will get busy in the peak high-season.

Aqualandia, Benidorm


Aqualandia is a popular water park in Benidorm.

Based in a beautiful natural setting, the park has an abundance of water rides for all ages and tastes. Surrounding the water park are gardens with vegetation typical of the zone and a whole host of extra services await you.

Mundomar is an animal park located in Benidorm.

The park has different species of mammals, birds and reptiles with which you can enjoy a great visit, complemented by different shows and the possibility of living special experiences such as swimming with sea lions or have an encounter with dolphins, or photograph you with different animals.

Terra Natura

Terra Natura/Terra Natura are zoo and water theme parks and aqua parks located near Benidorm and Murcia, in the Costa Blanca, Spain. Terra Natura Animal Parks lets visitors make contact with animals with barriers invisible to the human eye.
